308 Winchester; excellent bore, 23.5'' barrel, SA 65 series barrel dated 4-54. Barrel has been shortened at the breech end. Standard SA and proof markings on right side, top is stamped "E56" and "5345560". Left side is stamped "D023". Chromed gas port. The bore is sharp and bright with a tight muzzle=1.
