16 Gauge; excellent bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Manufactured by Ithaca Gun Company 1921-1948. Blue finish barrels, casehardened frame and mounted in checkered walnut. 2 3/4 inch chambers with both chokes gauging Modified. The barrels appear to have been shortened to length. Marked on top of the right barrel "LEFEVER NITRO SPECIAL" and on the left barrel "LEFEVER ARMS CO. ITHACA, N.Y.". Features a boxlock action, extractors, double triggers, pressure release forearm and a rounded grip stock. Length of pull is 13.25 inches. The finish on the barrels has faded to a blue/gray patina and shows wear. The frame has some fading case color remaining. The wood has minor dings and handling marks, and the left side of the forearm has a sliver of wood missing. Mechanically fine with tight lockup., s/n 1566xx
