36 Caliber; 85% blue, very good+ bore, very good grips, 7.5'' barrel, Manufactured in 1866. Generous original blue finish remains, faded on the cylinder, visible but fading case colors on the frame. Walnut grip, with what appears to be a British broad arrow lightly carved onto the right side. Stamped on top of the barrel "-ADDRESS COL. COLT LONDON-". British proofed on the left side of the barrel lug and between each chamber on the cylinder. Marked on the left side of the frame "COLT'S / PATENT" and on the left side of the trigger guard "36 CAL.". All matching serial numbers including the wedge. The cylinder retains 95% or better of the naval battle scene. Screw slots on the revolver are clean. Two or three small scratches at the wedge slot on the left side, and a couple scattered spots of minor pitting on the barrel. The bore is bright and the action is crisp. This revolver is wood cased, faded maroon felt lined compartmentalized interior. Inside the case is a one piece cleaning rod, key for the case lock, brass and copper powder flask, Colt's Patent marked bullet mold, fire blued nipple wrench, nickle plated oiler and a nearly full can of F.Joyce London percussion caps. Under the case lid is the paper label for loading and cleaning the Colt's pistol, which remains at 95%+. The case has a crack at the underside edge of the lid at one hinge, the hinge missing one screw. The felt color has faded and the case has external scuffs and scratches however is in very good condition for its age. Antique., s/n 1962xx
