16 Gauge; 70% blue, very good bore, good stock, 27.75'' barrel, Consignor description: "2 3/4 inch chambers, original Damascus barrels professionally sleeved to 16 Gauge with Winchester steel tubes, probably in the U.S.A., barrels ring okay. Boxlock, auto ejectors, cocking indicators, heavily scalloped, automatic safety filled in gold (US export). Double triggers, trigger faces checkered. Tight banknote scroll style, game scenes, fighting antlered animals on trigger bow, brace of birds dogs with ducks on base of frame, extensive and beautiful engraving. Both sides of the receiver: "Prussian Made" (faint), possibly manufactured by Linder and imported by Charles Daly. Dated 1901 and cricle 12 with german proof marks on the original barrel chambers. Fancy European walnut, LOP-front trigger 14.25 inches. Stock is very sound, with a neatly repaired crack on the left side, dowled. Panels checkered with tear drops. A gorgeous piece of wood. German silver shield on bottom of stock engraved TWB. Buffalo horn fittings-butt plate and grip cap, all solid, no chips or cracks". Mechanical assessment: The actions work fine.
